The future of Isack Hadjar is uncertain as Red Bull tries to work out what to do with the young Frenchman.
Hadjar is in his second season in Formula 2 with Campos Racing and is fighting for the championship with Gabriel Bortoleto. The 19-year-old is four and a half points behind with two rounds to go.
Hadjar has won more races than any other driver this year with four, but he goes into the next round in Qatar on poor form, as he has failed to score points in six of the last seven races.
The Frenchman has been part of the Red Bull junior team since 2022, and after the departure of Daniel Ricciardo from their second team RB, speculation has grown as to where this puts Hadjar within their setup for 2025.
Hadjar is set to be promoted to Red Bull reserve driver after Liam Lawson left the role to replace Ricciardo for the remainder of the season. Along with this new role, it looks like Red Bull intends to keep Hadjar racing.
Isack Hadjar could race in DTM or Super Formula in 2025
The Frenchman cannot return to F2 if he wins the championship, but it seems likely that he will not be returning even if he does lose out on the title.

Should Lawson fail to impress at RB or Sergio Perez is cut from the main team, the door would naturally be open for Hadjar to get his chance in F1 in 2025.
If this proves not to be the case, according to a report from ESPN Deportes, the Frenchman will ‘have the option of moving to DTM or Japan’s Super Formula.’
It has been common for Red Bull to send their talents to either series, as was the case for the likes of Pierre Gasly and Lawson.
Gasly raced in Super Formula in 2017 just before he was called up to F1 with Toro Rosso, The Frenchman finished second in the standings, losing the title to Hiroaki Ishiura by just half a point.
Meanwhile, Lawson competed in both DTM and Super Formula, racing in the former in 2021 and the latter in 2023, finishing second in both.
Where will Isack Hadjar end up in 2025?
If a move to F1 is not possible, it would be wise for Hadjar to keep himself active in racing and sharp, unlike Lawson this year who was committed solely to his Red Bull reserve role.
DTM and Super Formula will present an as equally challenging season as the other and will be a great chance for the Frenchman to gather more experience and test his skills.

Super Formula may perhaps be the most likely option, given that Hadjar has not driven a sports car competitively since his racing debut in the Ginetta Junior Winter Championship in 2018.
But either way, it will be interesting to see where Hadjar does end up, and whether he will overcome his slump in form to retake the lead from Bortoleto and win the F2 title.
