The 2024 Moto3 season takes the third tier of motorcycling racing to 15 countries and 18 circuits as the lightweight class follows MotoGP around with its 20-round calendar.
Moto3 is the smallest class in the world championship, as riders launch their journeys rising the ladder, via Moto2, to reach the MotoGP grid. It was after sealing the Moto3 title in 2023 that Jaume Masia moved up to the intermediate class with Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team.
Masia won the 2023 Moto3 title with Leopard Racing after securing four wins over 20 races. The Valencia native recorded his final win of the year at the 2023 Grand Prix of Qatar, which FIM has returned to being the first round of the 2024 MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 calendars.
The Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme even planned races in Argentina, Kazakhstan and India for the 2024 season. But after they fell through, Misano got a second race with the Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera following the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna.
Dorna and the FIM were also forced into a late change to the 2024 Moto3 calendar with the relocation of the season-ending Grand Prix of Valencia to Barcelona, following the vast flash flooding in Spain. MotoGP moved to avoid diverting any resources from the recovery efforts.
The Grand Prix of Aragon also returned to the Moto3 calendar in 2024 after dropping off the schedule in 2023. Palma native Izan Guevara won the 2022 Moto3 Grand Prix of Aragon with Ayumu Sasaki and Daniel Holgado joining him on the MotorLand Aragon podium in Alcaniz.
