The 2024 Moto2 season sees the second-tier of motorcycle racing follow the MotoGP field for a 20-round calendar, visiting 18 different circuits while racing in 15 countries.

Racing on the same weekends and at the same tracks at MotoGP provides the Moto2 grid a chance to showcase their potential to deserve a promotion to the premier class. It was after he won the Moto2 title in 2023 that Pedro Acosta joined Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 in MotoGP.

Acosta registered seven wins through the 20 rounds of the 2023 Moto2 season with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, beginning with winning the season-opener Grand Prix of Portugal. Those hoping to follow in the Portuguese’s footsteps after the 2024 Moto2 season kick off in Qatar.

FIM has moved the Grand Prix of Qatar back to being its season-opening round for the 2024 Moto2 season. The Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme even intended to stage races in Argentina, Kazakhstan and India through the 2024 season for MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.

But after they fell through, FIM opted for a second race at Misano to replace the Kazakhstan Grand Prix. The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli got back-to-back rounds through the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna and then the Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera.

Dorna and the FIM were also forced into a late change to the 2024 Moto2 calendar owing to the vast flooding that hit Spain in October, with the relocation of the season finale due to be in Valencia to Barcelona decided to avoid diverting any resources from the recovery efforts.

Extra changes to the Moto2 calendar in 2024 include the return of the Grand Prix of Aragon, which fell off the schedule in 2023. Acosta won the 2022 Moto2 Grand Prix of Aragon as the Mazarron native led Aron Canet and Augusto Fernandez in an all-Spanish podium lock-out.

So, with that in mind, Full Oversteer runs you through the full 2024 Moto2 season calendar, including the dates and times for every practice, qualifying and race session in the schedule.
