Paul Aron is yet to win a race this season after graduating to Formula 2, but the Estonian has been very consistent for Hitech.
He started the Formula 2 campaign competitively by hitting the ground running at the season opener in Bahrain with fifth and third-place finishes.
Aron’s good form continued over the opening few rounds as he consistently scored podiums and stayed towards the top of the championship standings.
But despite an excellent start to the season, the Hitech driver has endured some difficult rounds – including failing to score points at Silverstone as well as Spa and Monza.
This has caused Aron’s title challenge to stumble, with 2025 Sauber F1 driver Gabriel Bortoleto and Red Bull junior Isack Hadjar emerging as the main contenders.
Aron needs some luck to intervene if he is to win the Formula 2 championship. But the 20-year-old explained in the Chasing The Dream series why he feels the title is still possible.

Aron has been very competitive in qualifying, taking four pole positions this season and two championship points for each success.
The Estonian has been very quick over a single lap, which is an important trait as overtaking is difficult on some tracks.

He hasn’t yet converted his speed in qualifying into a victory over a race distance. Aron has fallen away from the championship lead and is now 36.5 points behind Bortoleto.
Yet Aron is adamant that the title is still possible, despite there being just two rounds remaining, and feels his speed in qualifying could be critical.
He said: “I think I still have the most podiums, the most poles and on average, I’m probably the first or second-quickest driver in qualifying. So, I can very much see that the title is still in play, and it’s never really over in Formula 2 until it’s over.”

Aron has been very consistent this season and stood on the podium seven times ahead of the final two rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
The Estonian driver has the joint-most podium finishes in the field alongside Hadjar and Rodin Motorsport driver Zane Maloney.
Aron hasn’t scored a podium since taking third place in the Sprint Race at Red Bull Ring. Hadjar last took a top-three finish at Spa with a race win but hasn’t scored a point since.
The Hitech driver has been superior to his title rivals in qualifying. Aron has four pole positions, while Bortoleto has just two. Maloney and Hadjar each have a single pole position, as qualifying is down to fine margins.
