Formula 3 2024 teammate head-to-head battles including race and qualifying results

Full Oversteer looks at all 10 teammate battles across the Formula 3 grid in 2024, from a driver’s wins and podiums to top 10 results over the season.

FIA F3 is undertaking a 10-round campaign, which began at the Bahrain International Circuit in March and featured many of the historic tracks across Europe before concluding at Monza in Italy.

The championship has seen many driver changes ahead of 2024 as two of PREMA drivers Zak O’Sullivan and Paul Aron made the step up to Formula 2.

Italian team Trident are also took on two new drivers with Sami Megetounif and Santiago Ramos, who both graduated from FRECA.

Campos Racing are running with a three-car line-up of drivers undertaking their second season in FIA F3: Oliver Goethe, Mari Boya and Sebastian Montoya.

Dutch team MP Motorsport moved Franco Colapinto to their Formula 2 outfit and are racing with Red Bull junior Tim Tramnitz plus Kacper Sztuka and 2022 British F4 champion Alex Dunne.

Hitech have retained Luke Browning after his debut year in 2023 and is driving alongside Cian Shields and Martinius Stenshorne.

Jenzer Motorsport is without Alex Garcia this season and runs with Max Esterson, Charlie Wurz and Peruvian driver Matias Zagazeta.

PREMA have consistently been at the front of the field throughout its time in FIA F3 and won the Teams’ Championship in 2023. The Italian team are competing with an incredibly talented line-up of Dino Beganovic, Gabriele Mini and Red Bull junior Arvid Lindblad.

Trident are one of two Italian teams in Formula 3 and are driving with the Italian driver Leonardo Fornaroli alongside Sami Meguetounif and Santiago Ramos, who are both moving up from FRECA.

MP Motorsport were the best of the rest in 2023, finishing third in the Teams’ Championship behind the two Italian teams, PREMA and Trident, who were a class above the rest of the field. MP are driving with Alex Dune, who is stepping up from GB3, Kacper Sztuka and Tim Tramnitz.

Campos Racing finished in fourth place in 2023 and have been at the front of the field again this season as Oliver Goethe won the Feature Race at Imola alongside Spaniard Mari Boya and Sebastian Montoya.

Hitech retained Luke Browning for a second season in Formula 3. After a challenging first year, the British driver has transformed into a frontrunner. Browning is racing alongside Martinius Stenshorne and Cian Shields. Stenshorne missed the seventh round of the season and was replaced by James Wharton.

Van Amersfoort Racing had moments of brilliance throughout 2023, taking a flurry of podiums and one victory. This trend has continued into the new year, particularly with Mexican driver Noel Leon, who has stood on the podiums multiple times. The Dutch team are also running Tommy Smith and Sophia Florsch but they haven’t had such strong results and struggled to consistently break into the top 10.

AIX Racing is fielding a three-car line-up of Joshua Dufek, who replaced Sophia Florsch, Italian driver Nikita Bedrin, and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak. The German team have struggled to challenge for points consistently but did take a memorable 1-2 finish in the Sprint Race in Hungary, as Bedrin finished ahead of Inthraphuvasak.

Rodin Motorsport have slightly tweaked their name ahead of the 2024 season, switching from Rodin Carlin. The team from New Zealand have two rookies in their car through GB3 champion Callum Voisin and Joseph Loake, who are also stepping up from GB3. Polish driver Piotr Wisnicki is joining the two British drivers.
