Luke Browning put together a very competitive, championship-challenging campaign in during his second season in FIA F3.
The British driver won the Macau Grand Prix last year, which was a confidence boost after a tricky season in 2023.
Browning stayed with Hitech for this season and was immediately on the pace, winning the Feature Race at the season opener in Bahrain in FIA F3.
His good form continued, taking a podium finish at Monaco and his second victory of the season at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
The Williams junior narrowly missed out on the championship after a difficult outing in the final round at Monza.
He told the official FIA F3 website that the championship was a chance that he missed despite a very good season.
Luke Browning feels he ‘deserved’ to win the Formula 3 championship
Browning was a consistent frontrunner over the season, taking two wins and he was consistently finishing in the top 10, taking valuable points.
The British driver was also quick over a single lap, taking pole position at Silverstone, a special moment at a venue where had a lot of success earlier in his career.
The race pace was very competitive on a range of tracks, from street circuits such as Monaco to more flowing venues such as the Red Bull Ring.

He explained Browning feels he had an excellent season despite missing out on the championship to Leonardo Fornaroli.
Browning said: “I mean as a whole it was pretty amazing. We started off the year with a first race win in Bahrain, went on to a podium in Monaco, and two consecutive pole positions in the busiest part of the season.
“I really feel like we deserved to win it, but this year it just wasn’t meant to be. It does give us more motivation. Obviously, I feel bad for Hitech, the work they have put in, the pace we had in Qualifying this year, the pace we had in races, it really was superior to the rest of the field.”
Luke Browning’s logical next step is to move up to Formula 2
Browning spent two years in Formula 3 and progressed over that time, adapting to European circuits after winning championships in British F4 and GB3.
The British driver may be looking to step up to Formula 2 for 2025 and he has already raced in the championship in Azerbaijan.
He finished seventh in the Feature Race on the streets of Baku, and Browning adjusted quickly without much pressure from his team ART.
A full season in F2 next season would be a good step in his career as he looks to keep knocking on the door of Formula 1.
