Jenzer Motorsport will be leaving FIA Formula 3 after a 15-year stint in the championship at the end of the 2024 season.
The Swiss team has rarely been a frontrunner in recent years, and Matias Zagazeta’s third place in the Sprint Race at Silverstone will be the last podium they score in FIA F3.
Jenzer scored 29 points in the Teams’ Championship this season, the fewest of all 10 outfits and will not return to the series in 2025.
Their departure from FIA F3 was met with a warm response on social media after the team’s final event at Monza.

Zagazeta was given a chance to step up to Formula 3 from FRECA ahead of the 2024 season by Jenzer Motorsport, allowing the Peruvian to progress in his career.
He gave Jenzer a memorable moment in their final year, taking the team’s only podium of the season at Silverstone.
The third place for the Peruvian was the only points finish he scored this season while Max Esterson and Charlie Wurz both broke into the top 10.
Nico Muller spent two years with Jenzer Motorsport in the GP3 Series earlier in his career, finishing third in 2010.
Zagazeta commented on Instagram: “Thank you for everything.” Swiss driver Muller wrote: “Danke Andreas & Team.”
Jenzer Motorsport helped develop Yuki Tsunoda in 2019
Jenzer Motorsport haven’t been able to challenge PREMA and other top teams in FIA F3 for the past few seasons but they were critical to the development of Yuki Tsunoda.
The Japanese driver now races in Formula 1 for RB and the Formula 3 campaign was vital to his development, adjusting to European circuits after winning the Japanese F4 title.
Tsunoda took one victory in the second race of the weekend at Monza, underlining his credentials as a driver that could battle at the front of the field.
Jenzer were a team that was a valuable part of the FIA F3 paddock and showed they could fight for wins throughout their history.
