PREMA were formidable throughout the FIA Formula 3 season and won the Teams’ Championship ahead of fellow Italian team Trident.
FIA F3 is highly competitive, and PREMA has developed many drivers who have gone on to win in Formula 1, such as Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri.
The Italian team took seven wins over the season and were the team to beat in Formula 3 and cruised to the teams’ title, enjoying a 71-point lead at the top of the championship.
They have very high standards and are competitive in multiple series, from Formula 2 down to Formula 4, further down the ladder.
Team principal Rene Rosin explained when talking to the official FIA F3 website that he was delighted to win the title but felt there was room for improvement.

PREMA performed superbly as a team with their three drivers, consistently driving at the front of the field in FIA F3.
The Italian team missed out on the Drivers’ Championship as Gabriele Mini narrowly missed out at the final race of the season at Monza, before ending up second in the standings.
All three drivers finished in the top six in the standings, with Arvid Lindblad finishing in fourth place and Sweden’s Dino Beganovic in sixth place.

Rosin explained that their drivers made mistakes, which cost them valuable points and disrupted the team over the year.
He explained: “To be honest it’s a bit of a bittersweet year. Once again winning the Teams’ Championship was a great result, all the drivers being in the top six in the Championship, being very close with each other and in with a chance to fight for the Championship at the last round.
“Unfortunately, a few mistakes happened throughout the season that cost us the Drivers’ Championship, with all the drivers, not just one particularly. There have been a few mistakes with Arvid, a few mistakes with Dino and with Gabriele, which compromised us a bit.”
The playing field may be levelled in FIA F3 next season
Formula 3 will welcome a new car for the 2025 season that the teams must adjust to quickly next year to be at the front of the field.
The new car is designed to make overtaking easier and the machine hopes to make the championship more accessible to a wide range of drivers.
This may present a challenge for PREMA, as they have struggled with the new car in FIA F2 this season, despite having the talents of Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman. The PREMA driver has struggled in Formula 2, but it hasn’t stopped him from moving to F1 with Haas.
