Alex Palou has achieved the most that any IndyCar driver ever has at the young age of 27, breaking records in every season that he competes in.
It means that there are plenty of laps ahead of him before the end of his career, and many more records to be broken.
The Spaniard is an ominous sight for his rivals, and a model of consistency every season, which helped him most to claim his third crown in 2024.
Six other drivers scored the same number of or more wins, yet he still managed to win the IndyCar championship by 31 points.

It’s important that Palou continues to remain relentless in his pursuit of glory, and he has already picked out his next main aim.
It comes just days after wrapping up the title at the Music City Grand Prix, revealing to Spanish outlet Marca that he wants to win the Indy 500 next.

“It’s within the plans,” he said. “It is incredible to have been able to achieve three championships in five years here and with the team we have we can fight for each championship every time we are on the track.
“Yes, the goal now is to win the 500 Miles and continue accumulating championships. Sounds good, sounds good.
“And also because, after doing it two consecutive years, it would be good to match Dario Franchitti [also with four], who is our coach and part of the organization.”
Who can stop Palou’s dominant march?
Will Power recently praised Palou’s ‘measured’ approach to racing as one of the reasons behind his ability to come out on top every year.
The Kiwi driver is the only man who has beaten him over the last four years, and missed an opportunity to in 2024 as well.

Next year, there will be more people hunting down Palou than ever, making it a fascinating watch as he bids to defend his crown.
He’s currently the only Chip Ganassi Racing driver signed up to drive in 2025, but he will probably be joined by Scott Dixon and one of Marcus Armstrong or Kyffin Simpson.
The team knows exactly what it takes to come out on top, and appears to cope well being chased by the whole IndyCar field – so expect yet more success from them in the future.
