David Malukas took to social media to express his excitement after he confirmed his next move in IndyCar for 2025 and beyond.
The American is regarded as a rising star in the IndyCar series after coming off the back of an impressive junior career, which included second place finishes in the Formula Regional Americas Championship in 2020 and Indy Lights in 2021, both with HMD Motorsports.
Malukas, who turns 23 in late September, is currently driving for Meyer Shank Racing in his third season in the series.
And the American took to his official X account to react to his new multi-year deal in IndyCar.

Malukas had been set to race for Arrow McLaren, but following an injury-ravaged start to the season, he ended up without a drive.
In June, it was announced by Meyer Shank Racing that co-owner and IndyCar driver Helio Castroneves would replace rookie Tom Blomqvist at Detroit and Road America, with it being unclear whether Blomqvist would return having been on a multi-year deal.
With it being confirmed that the Brit would not return, it was then announced that Malukas would drive the No. 66 car for the remainder of the season, starting at Laguna Seca.

The 22-year-old has raced in five events since his return and has qualified in the top 12 in four of them, with a best finish of sixth at the latest race in Toronto.
And his performances have done enough to impress A. J. Foyt Racing, who have signed Malukas on a multi-year deal starting from 2025.
The team are optimistic about the future with the American, with team president Larry Foyt saying that he will be a ‘great addition’ to the team.
And Malukas took to social media after the announcement to say that he is ‘excited for the future’ with his new team.

While Malukas’ season has been impressive since he joined Meyer Shank Racing at Laguna Seca, it has not been all plain sailing for the 22-year-old.
Malukas had been set to race for Arrow McLaren for the 2024 season, but on February 11, he suffered a broken wrist in a mountain biking accident.
Subsequently, he was replaced by Callum Illot for the opening races at St Petersburg and the non-championship one million dollar challenge – the latter of which he did not qualify.
Formula 2 champion Theo Pourchaire would replace Malukas at Long Beach and Barber, before he was released from his contract with McLaren on April 29 due to his recovery timeline being unclear.
