Felix Rosenqvist is a good place for a strong finish in the 2024 IndyCar standings.
The Swedish driver is in his sixth season in IndyCar and his first with Meyer Shank Racing after leaving Arrow McLaren last year.
Rosenqvist debuted in the series in 2019 with giants Chip Ganassi Racing. In his first year, the 32-year-old recorded his best finish to date, finishing sixth in the standings with two podiums.
The next year, Rosenqvist grabbed his first and to date only victory in IndyCar at Road America. He joined McLaren for the 2021 season and spent three years with the team.

The 2024 season has had its ups and downs for Rosenqvist with Meyer Shank, and it got off to a promising start.
The 32-year-old recorded top 10 finishes in the first four races and secured third place in the non-championship $1 Million Challenge.

A retirement in the Indianapolis 500 was followed by eighth in Detroit, before Rosenqvist went six races outside the top 10, with consecutive retirements at the second race in Iowa and Toronto.
The Swedish driver finished sixth at Gateway as Meyer Shank look to have bounced back from earlier woes, and speaking with Dave Furst on Over The Wall on IndyCar’s YouTube channel, Rosenqvist revealed his targets for the end of the season as he searches for his first podium and win of 2024.
When asked if he was hoping to go out on a high note, Rosenqvist replied: “Yeah, I think that and you know, we’re top 10 in the standings, which normally I don’t see that as a real target.
“But I think it’s something we want to keep, we want to finish top 10 in the standings, I think that’s a good goal.
“I haven’t had a podium yet. I’ve had a couple of fourth place finishes. Lots of good qualifying and pole positions and all kinds of stuff.
“So yeah, maybe wrap up the season with a win or a podium would be really cool.”

Felix Rosenqvist sits 10th in the drivers’ standings
Rosenqvist’s sixth place at Gateway sees him move into 10th in the drivers’ standings, level on points with A. J. Foyt Racing’s Santino Ferrucci.
Alexander Rossi sits 28 points ahead of the MSR driver, while Christian Lundgaard hangs just five points behind Rosenqvist and Ferrucci, with Marcus Ericsson, Marcus Armstrong and Rinus VeeKay also within reach of catching up.
The race at Portland is the final road course of the 2024 season before the year curtails with three oval circuits.
A double header at the Milwaukee Mile comes before the season finale at the Nashville Superspeedway.
