One driver has been the dominant force in Indy NXT this season, winning the championship with one race to spare.
Louis Foster has taken seven victories from 13 races and finished outside the top five on only one occasion for Andretti.
It has been one of most breath-taking seasons in the championship’s history, helping him to earn a guaranteed entry to the Indianapolis 500 along the way.
But, he is yet to find himself a full-time drive for the 2025 IndyCar season – which evidently, he has earned off the back of his supreme performances.

Louis Foster has ‘had chats’ over 2025 IndyCar drive
There are a few seats left on the grid for 2025, with the likes of Rahal Letterman Langigan, Chip Ganassi and the incoming PREMA team all yet to confirm their line-ups.
Juncos Hollinger Racing could be an option too, with two seats available there, but these are all conversations that Foster has already been having.

“We’ve had a very good season in Indy NXT; very happy with it, clearly,” Foster told RACER. “If you look at stats as well, I think we have the highest average finishing position in Indy NXT history, so I’m hoping that that translates to an IndyCar team wanting me.
“Obviously, we’ve had chats with different teams. At the moment, there’s nothing on the table, so we’re just waiting and seeing. It’s such a hard category to get into.
“It’s the best drivers in the world. But we’re working flat out trying to get a deal sorted.”
Which drivers is he competing with for an IndyCar seat?
The likes of Alexander Rossi, Rinus VeeKay and Marcus Armstrong are all waiting to be snapped up for next year.
All three have proven pedigree at the higher level, but Foster at the age of 21, could have a lot of upside with the talent he has shown.

There would’ve been an argument for him to graduate with his own team and race for Andretti, but they already have three drivers tied down to contracts.
With one race left in the Indy NXT season at Nashville, all he can do is attempt to win again in order to push his case for a promotion.
If he doesn’t end up on the IndyCar grid, without a doubt he will end up in another racing series and with a chance to prove himself again.
