Full Oversteer has taken a look at what the 2025 IndyCar grid looks like as each team continues to make a decision on which drivers will form their line-up next year.
The current ‘silly season’ has been one of the most chaotic in recent memory, with multiple dramatic shifts in the landscape of the IndyCar driver market.
As many as 16 seats were potentially available to change hands, meaning that there were plenty of deals left to be made as teams settled on their future line-ups.
The free agent driver market also saw 2016 Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi leave Arrow McLaren, while race winner Rinus VeeKay’s contract with Ed Carpenter Racing had an expiration date of December 31.
But they were not short of options when it came time to decide their next move. So, with that in mind, Full Oversteer has taken a look at every IndyCar team’s confirmed driver line-up for the 2025 season…
A J Foyt Enterprises 2025 driver line-up: David Malukas and Santino Ferrucci
David Malukas will begin a multi-year contract with A J Foyt Racing from the start of the 2025 IndyCar season in a driver line-up that also includes Santino Ferrucci.
The team elected to bring Malukas in to replace Sting Ray Robb, whilst re-signing Ferrucci to a multi-year contract in September 2024.
Andretti Global 2025 driver line-up: Colton Herta, Kyle Kirkwood and Marcus Ericsson
One of few teams that have a fully assembled line-up, all of Andretti’s current IndyCar drivers have multi-year contracts to see them through at least the 2025 season.
Star driver Colton Herta is penned with the team through 2027, and will once again be joined at Andretti by Kyle Kirkwood and Marcus Ericsson in 2025.

Arrow McLaren 2025 driver line-up: Pato O’Ward, Nolan Siegel and Christian Lundgaard
A team that has been criticised for switching drivers multiple times as of late, Arrow McLaren currently look set to field the youngest IndyCar line-up in 2025. Christian Lundgaard makes the switch from Rahal Letterman Lanigan to join Pato O’Ward and Nolan Siegel.
Chip Ganassi Racing 2025 driver line-up: Alex Palou, Scott Dixon and Kyffin Simpson
IndyCar teams agreeing to a 10-year charter system starting in the 2025 season also saw Chip Ganassi Racing reduce their line-up from five to three drivers. CGR also faced big decisions over their line-up with only Alex Palou holding a multi-year contract
But while Palou was their only driver with a multi-year deal, Chip Ganassi Racing confirmed that IndyCar’s most successful driver Scott Dixon would also stay with the team for 2025 when the charter system was announced.
Rookie Kyffin Simpson also re-signed with Chip Ganassi Racing in October 2024 to stay for his second year in IndyCar in 2025, forcing Linus Lundqvist out of CGR’s driver line-up.

Dale Coyne Racing 2025 driver line-up: TBC and TBC
Dale Coyne Racing are yet to confirm either of their drivers for the 2025 season, with their 2024 line-up consisting of IndyCar veteran Jack Harvey and rookie Colin Braun both out of contract.
Ed Carpenter Racing 2025 driver line-up: Christian Rasmussen and Alexander Rossi
Ed Carpenter Racing confirmed their 2025 driver line-up in September 2024 with 2016 Indy 500 winner Rossi joining on a multi-year contract to pilot the No20 car, while Christian Rasmussen adopted the No21 car full-time.
ECR will also run a third car for the 2025 Indy 500 with team co-owner Ed Carpenter returning only for the series’ showpiece race at the Brickyard.
Juncos Hollinger Racing 2025 driver line-up: TBC and TBC
Juncos Holling Racer are still to confirm either of the drivers who will form their line-up for the 2025 IndyCar season.
Romain Grosjean saw his contract with the team expire after the 2024 season, in which Juncos Hollinger dropped Agustin Canapino to create uncertainty in their garage.
Meyer Shank Racing 2025 driver line-up: Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong
Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong will form the Meyer Shank Racing driver line-up for the 2025 IndyCar season.
The team based in Ohio confirmed that Rosenqvist had signed a multi-year extension in September 2024 after a strong first season together.
Meyer Shank also moved quickly after the announcement to confirm that Armstrong would join the team in 2025 after two seasons at Chip Ganassi Racing.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing 2025 driver line-up: Graham Rahal, Louis Foster and TBC
Graham Rahal has a multi-year contract with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, but who partners him and reigning Indy NXT champion Louis Foster in their 2025 IndyCar line-up is widely up in the air.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing signed Foster to a multi-year contract for his graduation to IndyCar in October 2024 after securing the Indy NXT title driving for Andretti.
With Lundgaard departing to join McLaren and no news on the state of play for Pietro Fittipaldi, it is believed that Juri Vips could be under consideration for a full-time drive.
Team Penske 2025 driver line-up: Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin and Will Power
One of the strongest driver line-ups on the IndyCar grid will remain intact for 2025 after Team Penske re-signed pending free agent Josef Newgarden in June. Joined by Scott McLaughlin and Will Power, the trio will remain together for a fourth consecutive season.

PREMA Racing 2025 driver line-up: Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman
PREMA signed Callum Ilott to be their first IndyCar driver ahead of debuting on the grid in 2025. The Briton signed with the Italian team in September 2024 to return to IndyCar permanently after previously driving for Juncos Hollinger and briefly for McLaren in 2024.
A whole host of further drivers were also linked with the new PREMA entry ahead of their IndyCar debut, most notably axed Williams Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant. But PREMA signed Robert Shwartzman to complete their 2025 IndyCar driver line-up in November 2024.
The Russian-Israeli drove for PREMA when he won the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship and finished second for the 2021 F2 title. PREMA finalised his arrival in IndyCar after Shwartzman parted with Ferrari after seven years of association.
