The IndyCar jigsaw puzzle is slowly coming together, with multiple drivers announced after the Music City Grand Prix finale.
There are a few spots left at teams like PREMA, Rahal Letterman Lanigan and Juncos Hollinger Racing, and a lot of drivers competing for those seats.
Chip Ganassi took the decision to reduce their operations from five-car to three-car for 2025, leaving two of their drivers searching elsewhere.
One of those guys was Marcus Armstrong – a man who has shown steady improvement this year and managed to make inroads toward the top of the field.

Armstrong picked up his first podium and finished 14th in the IndyCar standings this season, which doesn’t show how well he drove in the final third of the year.
He picked up four top-10 finishes in the final six races, which may have contributed to his chances of a drive.

“I’m very proud to be joining Meyer Shank Racing in 2025,” Armstrong told the team.
“I had a great feeling when I met both Mike Shank and Jim Meyer, their passion for performance and meticulous work ethic was obvious from our first conversation and I want to thank them both for this opportunity.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone at MSR over the off-season with the goal of hitting the ground running at the first race of the season in St Pete.”
The young guns form a partnership at Meyer Shank
Armstrong will line up alongside Felix Rosenqvist at Meyer Shank, with the two both under the age of 25 currently.
That’s no issue though, as both have enough IndyCar experience and have proven in their careers that they know how to regularly churn out results.
In fact, Rosenqvist showed race-winning pace at the start of the season and was near Armstrong quite a lot on track.

That bodes well for Meyer Shank, who picked up just three top 10 finishes with both drivers in the final 10 races of 2024.
There are six months to work out any creases and get comfortable with the team, before embarking on a journey to St Petersburg, Florida, for the first race of the season.
