Romain Grosjean has driven on a wide array of racetracks throughout his racing career, and it looks like he might be about to add another.
That’s if the Frenchman is still in IndyCar during the 2026 season when the series arrives in Texas for the Grand Prix of Arlington.
Grosjean is currently without a drive for next year and beyond but was offered a contract by his Juncos Hollinger Racing team to continue with them.
He’s clearly weighing up his options and whether or not to make a permanent switch to endurance racing, which he has enjoyed some success in recently.

Grosjean was born and bred on Europe’s street course and permanent race tracks, so the all-new Grand Prix of Arlington will be an exciting proposition for him.
Featuring 14 corners, with a mix of high, medium, and low-speed challenges, it looks like it could catch some drivers out.
It’s similar to the Miami Grand Prix circuit, which has already seen a few crashes in its three years of running so far.

The straight between turns nine and 10 looks as if it could end up being the longest on the calendar, providing plenty of opportunities to overtake.
Speaking on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, the 38-year-old pointed out the need for ‘big commitment’ at the end of that straight.

In fact, the back straight (0.9 miles) makes up for an entire third of the layout, showing just how massive it is for a street course.
The race, which will take place somewhere near the start of the season in March – which is when the Grand Prix of St Petersburg is, could be a popular attraction.
The weather in Arlington during that month is fairly warm with temperatures in the 20-degree Celsius range, while rain can be a threat.

The double-sided pitlane will pose its own challenges and is something that can also be witnessed at the Grand Prix of Detroit.
There’s a year and a half to figure out any problems they might have first, so by the time the series turns up in March 2026, who knows if Grosjean will be on the grid or if Alex Palou will still be reigning champion…
