Brad Keselowski has never been afraid to let his emotions show, but he’s keeping one secret close to the vest ahead of the playoffs.
The NASCAR veteran is set to compete in the postseason for the 10th time in 11 seasons under the current points format. The 40-year-old has held his own this year with eight top-fives and 12 top-10s – both tied for fifth-most in the field.
He’s done it all as a driver-owner for RFK Racing, which is expected to add another charter next season and feature three full-time drivers.
It’s an open secret who might take the wheel for RFK next season, but Keselowski sure won’t be the one to let it slip.
Keselowski on Preece rumors: ‘Not today, Bob’
Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that RFK Racing was “progressing toward expanding” to three full-time drivers in 2025 – a move that has been widely speculated for months with so many charters opening up next season.
FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass has connected the dots in recent weeks that Ryan Preece, who is sponsored by Kroger, would be an attractive get for RFK given that he won’t be returning to Stewart-Haas next season.

But when asked at media day about the possibility of Preece joining RFK next season, Keselowski played coy with the respected NASCAR reporter.
“Not today, Bob,” Keselowski said with a laugh. “Coming soon.”
When pressed on it, Keselowski added that “everything is in the realm of possible.” He made a similar statement to other reporters by saying that “anything’s on the table” when looking ahead to 2025.
Keselowski keeping focus on postseason
It seems like only a matter of time before Preece is announced as the third driver for RFK Racing ahead of the 2025 season.
Keselowski hinted that an announcement could be coming as soon as next month but declined to speak publicly on the details. He was also careful with his words about the ongoing saga between NASCAR and racing teams related to the charter agreement set to expire at the end of this season.

Keselowski still has plenty on his plate over the next 10 weeks, starting with Sunday’s playoff opener at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
The No. 6 car will start from the 19th position this weekend after a mediocre showing in qualifying. He started 24th at Atlanta in February and led two laps before a 33rd-place finish.
He won the 2012 Cup Series championship but is yet to bring home a trophy for RFK Racing, which won back-to-back championships under the Roush Racing name in 2003-04.
