Campos Racing’s two Formula 2 drivers have had very different seasons in 2024.
Isack Hadjar joined the team from Hitech after his debut Formula 2 season the year prior, where he finished 14th in the standings with one podium and 55 points.
Since joining Campos Racing, the Frenchman has found his groove and has picked up four race wins and finds himself in the hunt for the drivers’ championship.
Partnering with Hadjar in 2024 is Spaniard Pepe Marti, who the team promoted from Formula 3 after he finished fifth in 2023.
But despite a promising start to the season, Marti has been unable to reach the same levels his teammate has this year.

The 19-year-old finished third and second in the opening two races in Bahrain, but since then, he has achieved only one more podium and five more points finishes.
Marti, who is managed by Fernando Alonso and is part of the Red Bull junior team, has suffered eight retirements this year – one being a mechanical issue and four being crashes before the first lap.

Last time out in Baku, the Spaniard finished 19th in the Sprint Race and in the Feature Race, he was involved in a horror crash and he collided with Kush Maini who failed to get going on the grid, sending his car into a flip.
Marti sits 16th in the standings with 43 points. Speaking with the F2 website, Campos team principal Adrian Campos Jr reflected on the ‘difficult’ season the Spaniard has suffered.
“It’s been very difficult even more because of how he started in Bahrain,” he said. “He set the benchmark quite high for the rest of the season and any round where he has not been on the podium like Bahrain was not good.
“At the end, he had a lot of accidents that were out of his control also some that he could have avoided but still it’s part of the learning of a rookie season in Formula 2.
“I am sure that he will learn from all of this and now the last two rounds will be stronger, and we will be fighting for the very high places with both cars.”

While Marti has been unable to replicate his success at the season opener in Bahrain, teammate Hadjar has scored seven podiums as he looks to secure the F2 title in 2024.
The Frenchman has more race wins than any other driver with four and had been leading the championship for some time.

However, after failing to score points in the last two rounds at Monza and Baku, Gabriel Bortoleto has taken the lead of the championship by four and a half points.
With Qatar and Abu Dhabi still to go, Hadjar will be looking to improve his poor form and take the fight to Bortoleto for the F2 title.
