Just four drivers have scored a point in every round of the Formula 3 championship this season, and three of them are championship contenders.
Leonardo Fornaroli leads the way at the top of the standings heading into the last round at Monza with 129 points.
The final round of the Formula 3 season promises to be an excellent encounter, as seven drivers compete for the championship.
With 39 points up for grabs, expect to see the drivers going all out in an attempt to bring glory home at one of the most famous tracks on the calendar.
Christian Mansell ‘haunted’ by frustrating statistic
Speaking to the Formula 3 website, Australian driver Christian Mansell has been discussing the ups and downs on his 2024 campaign.
An impressive six podiums in nine rounds means that he still has an outside shot at the title, but his chances would’ve been bigger, had he managed to find a singular victory this season.

It’s a statistic which has been bothering him, as he revealed when he said: “I am not too fussed if he does not happen. If it does, then I would be absolutely over the moon.
“It’s still a factor in my mind that I haven’t won a race yet, I’ve got second, I’ve got third, I’ve covered every spot on the podium, I’ve got pole, I’ve got fastest laps, it’s just haunting me at this point.
“If it happens, it happens, it’s fate at the end of the day, you need a bit of luck and if it happens, I will be over the moon and celebrating like I won the world cup but if it doesn’t there is still no regrets.”
A new challenge faces the drivers at Monza
Monza has been under heavy work this year as part of an effort to have their Formula 1 contract extended beyond 2025.
Improvements to their infrastructure, facilities, and the track have all been made in a bid to modernise the circuit.
The track has also been resurfaced to help improve drainage, but may also make it a lot less grippier to start with.

If it rains, expect an ice rink and a real challenge for the drivers fighting for the Formula 3 title in Monza – the worst conditions any of them could hope for.
Multiple gravel traps are returning, while kerbs have also been reprofiled which will make the circuit an entirely new challenge to those like Mansell, that have been there before in a Formula 3 car.
