Jenzer Motorsport have just completed their final season in FIA Formula 3 and they have had plenty of successful drivers come through their ranks.
The Swiss team was rooted to the bottom of the F3 Teams’ Championship this season. But Peruvian driver Matias Zagazeta scored a third place at Silverstone, marking Jenza’s final trip to the rostrum in the series.
Jenzer scored just 29 points this season and were rarely in contention for a top-five finish, but they were consistently on the fringes of the points.
FIA F3’s departing team were a valuable part of the paddock and many people, including Nico Muller and Zagazeta, reacted to their decision to leave Formula 3 on social media.
The team have had plenty of young drivers drive their cars that have gone on to become professional racing drivers.
Jenzer Motorsport team principal Andreas Jenzer has told the official FIA F3 website that seeing Yuki Tsunoda progress to Formula 1 after driving for the team was a real success.

Tsunoda is the only driver to race for Jenzer since 2019 – when FIA F3 was renamed from GP3 – to step up to Formula 1 and graduate from the junior series.
The Japanese driver enjoyed a great season, taking victory in the second race of the weekend at Monza before moving on to FIA Formula 2.
He has since gone onto race in F1 since 2019 with RB and is becoming more established in the championship after a difficult rookie year.
Jenzer was pleased to work with Yuki and see him develop while at the team before Tsunoda moved up the ladder.
He said: “It was a lot of fun having Yuki Tsunoda [and] last year with Taylor Barnard was also fantastic. I think we have always shown what we are capable of.
“We did good results with Yuki, and I think nobody expected this. He was just a boy when he came to us, and he went to Formula 1 within two years. I think that was a big achievement for the team, for us and for him.”
The Jenzer team will continue to race in other junior championships
Jenzer Motorsport have raced in Italian F4 this season as well as the Formula 4 CEZ series in the Czech Republic.
Not being part of FIA F3 and the huge budget that series requires while operating under the nose of Formula 1 will allow them to focus on championships further down the ladder.
Jenzer outlined the schedule the team will face throughout the rest of the season in a multitude of F4 championships.
He added: “We have other Formula 4 Championships, a weekend in Brno, then European Formula, a weekend in Sachsenring, Barcelona, and then a week after that, we’re back in Monza.”
