Nikola Tsolov had a mixed second season in FIA F3, finishing in the points just once in the opening three rounds.
The Bulgarian driver started the FIA F3 season well, finishing fourth in the Sprint Race in Bahrain before a difficult run in Australia and at Imola.
Tsolov rebuilt his form as the middle of the season approached, taking victory in the Sprint Race at Monaco for ART.
After two seasons with the French team, he moved to Campos ahead of 2025 and is reunited with the outfit with which Tsolov won the Spanish F4 title.
He has now explained to the official FIA Formula 3 website that the 17-year-old is eagerly anticipating the new season and is looking for something very important that could help him next year.
Nikola Tsolov is ‘rediscovering’ how to work with the Campos team
Campos had a very successful stint with Tsolov when they worked together throughout the 2022 season in Spanish F4.
The Bulgarian driver dominated the championship in a competitive field that included Hugh Barter and Tymek Kucharczyk, who between them have won races in F4 and GB3.
Tsolov was very competitive in post-season testing at Jerez and Barcelona, although F3 is introducing a new car for 2025.

So, heading into his third season in FIA F3, Tsolov is looking to improve and challenge for the championship while racing on familiar tracks on the back of reuniting with Campos.
Tsolov said: “I’ve got a pretty good history with the team, we did a really good job together in F4. I think the post-season tests went pretty well and went just as expected. So, the pace was always there and I’m just rediscovering that dynamic of working with the team.
“It’s good as we already know each other. We know the way I work and how the team works, so we can just get into a rhythm quickly.
“We’ve got a good connection, even friendship, so I think that’s really important to have to ensure a good environment and workspace. I’m ready to take on the next step and try to develop the car for next year.”

Tsolov will be one of the more experienced drivers in the field next season, heading into his third year of FIA F3.
The Bulgarian will be racing on tracks he knows as the calendar remains unchanged from this season, which should help Tsolov.
He will also be racing against less experienced drivers, such as the GB3 champion Louis Sharp. The Kiwi hasn’t raced on some of the tracks on the calendar, such as Monaco and Albert Park.
The new car being introduced may level the playing field slightly and alter the order. But Tsolov needs to be at the front of the Formula 3 field consistently with Campos to continue knocking on the door of F1.
