Full Oversteer has taken a look into the full Formula 3 grid for 2025 with each team’s confirmed driver line-up as the Formula 1 feeder series stages the stars of tomorrow.
It is a proven platform for future F1 drivers to showcase their skills on a Grand Prix weekend, offering a chance to catch the eye of a Formula 1 team and their fans. The 2025 season even marks the seventh edition of the championship since renaming the GP3 Series as Formula 3.
But 2025 is also the first season that Formula 3 has held a championship without Jenzer as one of its teams. After the conclusion of the 2024 season, Jenzer withdrew from F3 to focus on Formula 4 entries. Jenzer scored one podium in 2024 by Matias Zagazeta at Silverstone.
Silverstone further saw Arvid Lindblad do a double at his home event in 2024 as the London-born driver won the Sprint and Feature Races at the British Grand Prix with PREMA. Now, he will form one part of the 2025 Formula 2 grid after Lindblad sealed a seat at Campos Racing.
Reigning Formula 3 champion Leonardo Fornaroli is also graduating to F2 as the Italian takes a drive at Invicta Racing. He joined fellow F3 champions Robert Shwartzman, Oscar Piastri, Dennis Hauger, Victor Martins and Gabriel Bortoleto in making the immediate step up to F2.
So, with that in mind, Full Oversteer takes a look into the drivers shaping the Formula 3 grid for 2025 as the teams start to sign the stars of tomorrow looking to shine on an F1 weekend.
AIX Racing: TBC, TBC and TBC
The 2025 Formula 3 season sees AIX Racing return for a second year after scoring two wins and two further podiums in 2024. But the German team are still yet to confirm any of their drivers for the 2025 campaign, as of the time of writing.
ART Grand Prix: Laurens van Hoepen, Tuukka Taponen and James Wharton
Martins won the 2022 Formula 3 drivers’ title as a part of the ART Grand Prix line-up, which will again include Laurens van Hoepen in 2025. ART re-signed Van Hoepen in October 2024, having secured three podium finishes across the Dutchman’s rookie campaign in F3 in 2024.
ART continued to confirm their 2025 Formula 3 driver line-up in October 2024 with news of Ferrari Driver Academy member Tuukka Taponen joining. The Finn will earn his full F3 debut in 2025 after entering the Sprint and Feature Races at the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix with ART.
October 2024 also saw ART reveal their full driver line-up for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season with James Wharton signed after fighting for the Formula Regional European Championship in 2024. He even won the 2023 FIA F4 UAE title in for the Australian’s first single-seater title.
Campos Racing: Mari Boya, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Nikola Tsolov
Campos moved early to begin confirming their 2025 Formula 3 driver line-up with news that Mari Boya would be staying with the Spanish crew released in October 2024. It will mark the Spaniard’s third year in F3 and Boya’s second term at Campos after scoring one win in 2024.
Thai driver Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak will also return to the F3 grid for 2025 after joining the Campos driver live-up. He spent 2024 with AIX and got one podium finish with second place in the Sprint Race at the Hungarian Grand Prix round, marking Inthraphuvasak’s only points.
Campos’ 2025 line-up is full of drivers returning to Formula 3 with Nikola Tsolov switching to the Spanish squad after two years in the feeder series with ART. The Bulgarian debuted in F3 in 2023 and penned one Feature Race plus two Sprint – including at Monaco – wins in 2024.
DAMS: Matias Zagazeta, Nicola Lacorte and TBC
As well as a flurry of new drivers, the 2025 Formula 3 season sees DAMS return to the third-tier of single-seater racing. DAMS took over the FIA F3 entry Jenzer vacated to complete the 10-team field, having not raced at this level since entering the GP3 Series in 2016 and 2017.
DAMS wasted no time in starting to sign their 2025 FIA F3 driver line-up, either, with Matias Zagazeta their first arrival in October 2024. The Peruvian switched to DAMS after driving for Jenzer in his rookie Formula 3 season in 2024, which yielded a Sprint podium at Silverstone.
October 2024 also saw DAMS sign Alpine Academy driver Nicola Lacorte for their 2025 line-up as he debuts in Formula 3. The Italian talent steps up to FIA F3 after racing in the Oceania and European Formula Regional championships in 2024. He is yet to win a single-seater title.
Hitech Pulse-Eight: Gerrard Xie, Martinius Stenshorne and TBC
F3 will welcome its first Chinese driver since Yifei Ye in 2019 to the grid in 2025 after Hitech Pulse-Eight promoted Gerrard Xie to their Formula 3 line-up. Xie raced for Hitech in GB3 for the 2024 season and finished seventh in the standings after taking one race win in Hungary.
The 2025 Formula 3 season also sees Martinius Stenshorne return for a second year on the grid in the Hitech Pulse-Eight driver line-up. Hitech signed the Norwegian for his sophomore season after taking one win as a rookie in the Sprint Race at the Australian Grand Prix round.
MP Motorsport: Tim Tramnitz, Bruno Del Pino and TBC
October 2024 proved to be a busy month for driver announcements as Formula 3 teams set about signing their line-ups for 2025 – including MP Motorsport retaining Tim Tramnitz. The German debuted in FIA F3 with MP Motorsport in 2024 and won the Sprint Race at Monza.
MP Motorsport also signed Bruno Del Pino for the 2025 Formula 3 season in October 2024. It marked a promotion for the Spaniard after racing for MP in the Eurocup-3 series over the prior two years. He was even the fastest MP driver in F3’s 2024 post-season Barcelona test.
PREMA Racing: Ugo Ugochukwu, Brando Badoer and Noel Leon
PREMA Racing are the most successful Formula 3 team to date after running three drivers to the title and taking the teams’ championship five times from six. Gabriele Mini and Lindblad led the Italian team’s title dreams in 2024 beside Dino Beganovic, all of whom have now left.
Ugo Ugochukwu was the first driver to sign for PREMA for the 2025 Formula 3 season as he graduates from FRECA and GB3. The American is a McLaren junior who won the Euro 4 title with PREMA, as well as competing for the Italian and UAE Formula 4 championships in 2023.
PREMA also signed a second McLaren junior to their 2025 F3 driver line-up in October 2024 with Brando Badoer. The Italian team will run the son of ex-F1 driver Luca Badoer in F3 after vying over the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing.
The only non-McLaren affiliated driver in PREMA’s 2025 F3 line-up is Noel Leon, who joined in October 2024. Monterrey, Mexico native Leon left Van Amersfoort Racing to join PREMA for his second season on the FIA F3 grid after securing four podiums in his rookie campaign.
Rodin Motorsport: Louis Sharp, Callum Voisin and Roman Bilinski
Rodin Motorsport announced the first part of the 2025 Formula 3 driver line-up in October 2024 with Louis Sharp joining the grid. Sharp will step up to F3 for his debut in 2025 on the back of the British-born New Zealander winning the GB3 Championship with Rodin in 2024.
October 2024 also saw Rodin re-sign Callum Voisin for the British-Swiss pilot’s second year in Formula 3. The Geneva-born ace debuted in FIA F3 for Rodin in 2024 and had a great end the year, with Voisin winning the Spa Feature Race plus a P3 in the Silverstone Feature Race.
Polish-British racing driver Roman Bilinski also signed with Rodin to complete their 2025 FIA F3 line-up in November 2024. He graduates into the Formula 1 support series after winning the 2024 Formula Regional Oceania Championship alongside racing in the European series.
Trident Motorsport: Charlie Wurz, Noah Stromsted and Rafael Camara
One of the hottest seats on the 2025 Formula 3 grid belongs to Trident Motorsport after the Italian team helped Fornaroli to win the drivers’ title in 2024. Charlie Wurz, Noah Stromsted and Rafael Camara will now look to follow in Fornaroli’s footsteps driving for Trident in 2025.
Trident were the first Formula 3 team to start announcing their 2025 driver line-up after the Milan-based team secured the signing of Wurz in September 2024. Wurz moved to Trident from Jenzer, with whom the Austrian had only scored points once in his rookie year in 2024.
The 2025 F3 season even sees Stromsted join Trident after signing with the team in October 2024. Stromsted had made his Formula 3 debut with Campos during the final round of 2024 at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix round after a podium-laden run in FRECA racing for RPM.
Trident also completed their 2025 Formula 3 driver line-up in October 2024 with the signing of Camara for his debut in the series. Recife native Camara will step into F3 after fighting for the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship driving for PREMA in his second term.
Van Amersfoort Racing: TBC, TBC and TBC
As of the time of writing, Van Amersfoort Racing are still to announce their driver line-up for the 2025 Formula 3 season.
