Pascal Wehrlein comes into Season 11 of Formula E as the defending champion after narrowly beating out the Jaguar drivers.
The German, who raced for Manor and Sauber in Formula 1 from 2016 to 2017, began his Formula E career with Mahindra Racing in 2018/19 and spent two seasons with the team, collecting one podium.
Wehrlein moved to Porsche for Season Seven and grabbed his first win in the all-electric series the following year at the Mexico City ePrix.
The 30-year-old won three races in 2022/23 and only retired once as he scored points in every other race. Wehrlein finished the year fourth in the standings with 149 points.

Looking to go better in Season 10, the German displayed great consistency throughout the year as he finished outside the top five only five times all season.
Wehrlein took the title to Jaguar’s Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy to the season finale in London, where he beat out the former by six points.

Porsche enjoyed a strong showing in pre-season testing at the Jarama Circuit in Madrid as they look to defend their drivers’ title in Season 11 in the Gen3 Evo era.
Speaking with talkSPORT Driving in Madrid, Wehrlein explained that winning the championship ‘releases pressure’ and that Porsche themselves are putting the ‘most pressure’ on them.
“It releases a bit of pressure because the pressure of achieving it for the first time is gone,” he said.
“I think the whole team is a bit relived and nevertheless we want to be successful next year and in the future.
“So, yeah, let’s say the feeling and the mindset is very positive but we start from zero again now and we still need to deliver results in the future.
“I think the most pressure now is coming from ourselves to perform well, but it has relieved some pressure definitely.”
Three teams will run Porsche powertrains in Season 11 of Formula E
As the 2024/25 season opener in Sao Paulo fast approaches, the conclusion of pre-season testing has sparked intrigue as to which team has the advantage.
There will be three teams on the grid with Porsche powertrains in Season 11, with the factory Porsche team and customer outfits Andretti and Kiro Race Co.

Andretti are heading into their third season as a Porsche customer team having previously ran BMW powertrains. The American outfit are looking for redemption in Season 11 after Jake Dennis failed to defend his Season Nine title last season.
Kiro Race Co are technically the new team on the grid after being bought out by American investors and rebranded from ERT into a Porsche customer team. Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann impressed in pre-season with times consistently at the front, giving them hope of a much-needed upturn in fortune.
