There are few IndyCar free agents who command as much interest as Romain Grosjean – a man who has accomplished a lot across many series.
The Frenchman is yet to decide where his future lies for 2025 and beyond, but he has enjoyed a solid start to his IndyCar career since crossing the pond in 2021.
A first victory in the series has evaded him, but he has shown on multiple occasions that he has the ability to compete.
His Formula 1 career was a similar story, taking multiple podiums but failing to ever reach the top step – coming closest at Canada in 2012.
Where is Romain Grosjean going to go next?
Having left Andretti at the end of the 2023 season, it would’ve been easy for Grosjean to give up on single-seater racing in North America.
Instead, he opted to solider on with Juncos Hollinger Racing and managed to lead them to an improvement in results.
His teammate Conor Daly helped them to secure their first-ever podium at Milwaukee, but Grosjean came close first at Laguna Seca and managed many more top-10 finishes on top of that.

Ricardo Juncos offered Grosjean a contract extension in the hope that he would opt to remain with the Argentine-American team for 2025.
However, he hasn’t made a decision on his future yet, over one month on from the end of the 2024 IndyCar season.
Will Grosjean stay in IndyCar?
While returning to Juncos Hollinger is probably an option still, he did enjoy racing for Lamborghini in endurance racing this year too.
He has iterated that he would like to continue doing that in the future, but a full-time move would see him step away from single-seater racing for the first time in his career.
Speaking in August about his future to Motorsport.com, he mentioned how he had a desire to move his current team forward, despite holding offers from rival teams.

“Ricardo made it clear he would like to have me in the team, and I would like stay,” he said. “We’re all trying to make it work.
“With Brad, with Ricardo, with myself to develop the team technically and on the sporting side and commercially, so we can also be a bit more relaxed on the financial side.”
