Logan Sargeant may have found his feet quickly after losing his seat in Formula 1 with Williams in the middle of the season.
The American driver entered 37 grands prix across a two-season span before being dropped and replaced by Argentine Formula 2 star Franco Colapinto.
The move had an air of inevitability of it for a while, as Sargeant battled with his car and struggled to find any consistent pace on track.
It was a positive move for both sides, as Williams have picked up more points since, while Sargeant has found himself an opportunity back home in the United States.

There are few IndyCar seats left for the 2025 season currently, and a few tests left for teams to assess potential hires in the offseason.
The latest driver to find himself a drive was Callum Ilott, who returns to the series in a full-time capacity with the new PREMA team next year.
It means that finding an opportunity is going to be difficult for Sargeant, but he has managed to create a small opening with a test in November.
On November 19, he will drive for Meyer Shank Racing in the final evaluation test at The Thermal Club – a track that will debut as a championship event next year after holding the $1 million (£760,000) challenge in 2024.
According to RACER, Sargeant travelled to the season-ending Music City Grand Prix to discuss a potential move with various teams, and ‘impressed’ Mike Shank and Jim Meyer with his character.
Where could Sargeant end up for 2025?
The most confusing part of Sargeant’s arrangement is that he will be testing for a team that has just signed two drivers for 2025.
Meyer Shank will field Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong, meaning that Sargeant will have to look elsewhere for a full-time drive.
He drove for PREMA in the European junior formulae – notably in Formula 3 back in the Covid-interrupted season of 2020.

So their move to North America could yield a chance alongside Callum Ilott – but there may also be calls to be had with Rahal Letterman Lanigan or Juncos Hollinger Racing too.
The problem with the latter seems to be that funding makes a big difference, and Sargeant maybe after a well-paid drive considering his Formula 1 expertise.
