Fermin Aldeguer has been blistering fast at times this season in Moto2, taking three wins ahead of the final round of the campaign.
The Spaniard had a difficult start to the season. He failed to score points in the first round in Qatar and ended up in 16th place.
Aldeguer won his home race at Jerez, taking victory at the Spanish Grand Prix ahead of American rider Joe Roberts.
The SpeedUp Racing rider has good speed but lost many points this year due to mistakes at critical moments.
He signed a two-year deal with Ducati earlier this year but will ride for Gresini Racing next season as he steps up to MotoGP.

Aldeguer has had a mixed season so far, with his blistering fast pace on the circuit being held back by occasional errors.
The Spaniard crashed from the lead of the race at the Catalan Grand Prix in May while serving a long-lap penalty at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
He also failed to finish in Thailand after making a mistake on the opening lap and crashing while his compatriot Aron Canet went on to take victory.
Aldeguer had the chance to take valuable points in Aragon but got caught up in an incident with Turkish rider Deniz Oncu in Spain.

Despite the multiple accidents and critical errors that need to be cut out before moving to MotoGP, Hodgson still believes the Spaniard can compete well.
He said: “That would be incredible [if he finishes ninth in the standings]. I still think it’s a great signing from Ducati, even though a lot of people in the paddock seem to disagree. I’m still confident that he’s an incredibly talented rider.”
