Thierry Neuville has had his future in the World Rally Championship confirmed ahead of Acropolis Rally Greece.
The Belgian first competed in the WRC as a private entry in 2009, before securing a full-time seat with Citroen in 2012.
After spending the following year with the Qatar World Rally Team, Neuville joined Hyundai in 2014 and has been with the Korean manufacturer ever since.
In his WRC career so far, Neuville has won 20 rallies, achieved 67 podiums and 402 stage wins in what has been a hugely successful career.
And now, the 36-year-old will extend his relationship with Hyundai for a 12th year as it was announced that Neuville will remain with he team for 2025.

Fans have been left delighted with the news that the Belgian is staying in the WRC, as well as some important figures.

Posting on his X account, Formula 1 journalist Peter Windsor expressed his relief that Neuville has signed a new deal, writing; “Great to see.”
Neuville’s teammate Ott Tanak is also set to remain with Hyundai in 2025, giving the team a strong full-time driver pairing heading into next year.
The future of Neuville had been uncertain before the announcement and rumours have continued to speculate where the Belgian will end up come 2026.
Hyundai’s future in the sport is also uncertain, with it being suggested that they could walk away from the WRC entirely by the end of next season and could be run by a private team in 2026.
Neuville has been linked with potentially moving into a more management-based role after his new deal with Hyundai expires, with one rumour even suggesting that he could become a team owner.

Thierry Neuville is targeting his first WRC championship in 2024
The 2024 WRC championship has four rounds left to run and Neuville finds himself in a good position to claim the title.
The Belgian is currently 27 points ahead of title rival Sebastien Ogier, with teammate Tanak four points behind in third as the series heads to Acropolis Rally Greece this weekend.
Ogier confirmed that he is set to compete in Greece as the championship is within reach for the Toyota driver. While he continues to stress that numbers do not matter to him, Ogier is eyeing his record-equalling ninth title.
Neuville is yet to win a WRC championship, having finished runner-up five times and third three times. Having lost out to Ogier on four occasions, the Hyundai driver will be hungrier than ever to break his winless streak.
