Hitech Grand Prix have confirmed two of their drivers who will be racing in Formula 3 in 2025.
Chinese driver Gerrard Xie will make the step up from the GB3 Championship, after finishing seventh in the standings in 2024 with the team.
Xie will be joined by Martinius Stenshorne, who will be going into his sophomore season in Formula 3 with Hitech.
The Norwegian driver raced with the team in F3 in 2024, as well as competing in nine rounds of the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, where he scored four podiums and finished eighth overall.
Stenshorne was signed to the McLaren Driver Development Programme ahead of the round at Imola, with the team supporting him through what was a difficult debut season in F3.

The 18-year-old secured his first win in the category in just his third race at the Sprint Race in Melbourne, but that would be his only points finish from the opening four rounds of the season.

Stenshorne finished fourth and second in the Sprint Races at Catalunya and Spielberg, but they would be his only finishes in the points in the next five rounds.
The Norwegian was excluded from the round at Silverstone as he had previously competed in the GB3 Championship at the circuit in 2024 without prior FIA approval and was judged to have gained an illegal sporting advantage. James Wharton took his place, but he too failed to score points.
Despite his struggles, Hitech have kept faith in Stenshorne and have re-signed him for the 2025 season. The 18-year-old became the sixth driver to be announced as joining the F3 grid next year on Monday.
Among the comments on Instagram of Stenshorne’s announcement was fellow Norwegian and Formula 2 driver Dennis Hauger, who applauded Hitech’s signing with two clapping hands emojis.
Martinius Stenshorne will be hoping for consistent results in 2025
Stenshorne finished 18th overall in the standings in 2024 having finished in the points only five times. Four of the points finishes were inside the top five, with two podiums and his maiden win.
The 18-year-old was able to outperform one of his teammates in Cian Shields, who alongside Sophia Florsch were the only drivers of the original 30 at the start of the season to not score a point.

However, Stenshorne was outclassed by Luke Browning, who won two races and grabbed three podiums to finish 25 points behind the champion Leonardo Fornaroli in third.
After scoring points in both races at the final round at Monza, Stenshorne will be hoping to find consistency in his second season in F3.
