Dennis Hauger has confirmed his 2025 plans as he will be leaving the junior categories in Europe for a fresh challenge.
The Norwegian is currently in his third season in Formula 2, joining the category two years prior after winning the Formula 3 title with PREMA in 2021.
Remaining with PREMA for his debut season in F2, Hauger grabbed two wins and one podium to finish 10th in the standings, before moving to MP Motorsport the following year.
The 21-year-old would go better in 2023 as he grabbed two wins and four podiums and finished eighth. In 2024, with two rounds left to run, Hauger is currently sat ninth with 85.5 points and five podiums across the year.

For the 2025 campaign, Hauger will moving over to the States to compete in Indy NXT with Andretti, the same below IndyCar.
Driving the No. 28 Andretti Dallara, the Norwegian got his first outing of a North American track with the team on Friday around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as part of the Chris Griffis Memorial Test.

Speaking in a press release, Andretti Global President J-F Thormann believes that there was no ‘better next step’ for Hauger to make in his career as he expresses his excitement to bring the young talent to the team.
“Dennis is a driver who has been on our radar for some time, and we’re excited to see him make the jump into American open-wheel racing,” he said.
“He’s no stranger to performing in highly competitive development series, so I can’t think of a better next step for him than to join the INDY NXT grid.
“We think he’s going to be the perfect addition to round out our 2025 INDY NXT driver lineup, and we’re proud to be a part of his INDY NXT debut.”
How does Andretti’s line-up look for the 2025 Indy NXT season?
For the 2025 campaign, Hauger will be racing alongside Lochie Hughes, Salvador de Alba and James Roe Jr.
Hughes will join Hauger as a rookie in the series, with the pair replacing the 2024 Indy NXT champion Louis Foster who has joined Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in IndyCar, and Jamie Chadwick, whose future is currently undecided.

Mexican driver de Alba is in his sophomore year in Indy NXT, having finished fifth in the championship last season with three podiums and 331 points.
Roe Jr finished just behind de Alba in sixth and also scored two points across the season, with Chadwick finishing in seventh as Foster dominated the season with eight wins.
