Full Oversteer has taken a look into the full MotoGP grid for 2025, with each team’s confirmed rider line-up as the premier class embraces a raft of changes in the field.
Just two MotoGP teams have retained the same rider line-up from the 2024 season for 2025 in Honda and Yamaha. Some teams are even switching up machinery including Pramac, who are leaving Ducati after 20 years using Desmosedicis to be the second Yamaha factory team.
Ducati have also seen Jorge Martin leave their stable of riders after once again snubbing the Spaniard to partner Francesco Bagnaia in their factory line-up. The Bologna Bullets opted to refresh their ranks for 2025 with Enea Bastianini axed, but decided Martin was not the one.
Martin could even leave the Ducati fold and take the No1 bike with him in 2025 after fighting Bagnaia for the 2024 MotoGP championship. The Italian edged his rival to win the 2023 title by 39 points. But Bagnaia lacked the same consistency during much of the 2024 campaign.
So, with that in mind, Full Oversteer has taken a look into the full MotoGP grid for 2025 with every team’s confirmed rider line-ups – including a few new faces stepping up from Moto2…
Aprilia Racing: Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi
Aprilia Racing will embrace an entirely new rider line-up in the 2025 MotoGP season, having signed Martin and Marco Bezzecchi to replace Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. It could also see Aprilia run the No1 plate on Martin’s bike with him fighting for his first title in 2024.

Martin agreed to leave Pramac for Aprilia in June 2024 after missing out on a promotion into the factory Ducati line-up. The Spaniard agreed to a multi-year contract for the Italian brand, who also signed Bezzecchi to a multi-year deal in June which made the Italian a factory rider.
Trackhouse Racing: Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura
Trackhouse Racing retained the services of Raul Fernandez in July 2024 with a new contract keeping the Spaniard at the American squad through 2025 plus 2026. But he will welcome a new teammate as Trackhouse signed Ai Ogura to a 2025 MotoGP contract in August 2024.
Ogura will graduate from Moto2 to MotoGP in 2025 after Trackhouse somewhat surprisingly chose the Japanese rider over American talent Joe Roberts. But few could doubt why Ogura deserved to seal a promotion to MotoGP after comfortably winning the Moto2 title in 2024.
Ducati Corse: Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez
Ducati signed up six-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez to a two-year contract in August 2024 to partner Bagnaia. The Bologna Bullets felt the Spaniard was the top choice to replace Bastianini after instantly delivering once on a Ducati after quitting Honda for Gresini in 2024.

Marquez also offers Ducati vastly more marketing benefits than Martin, who was also in the conversation to replace Bastianini from 2025. The Cervera native is one of the most popular riders in the history of MotoGP, so Marquez will significantly help Ducati grow their appeal.

VR46 Racing Team: Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli
With Bezzecchi switching to Aprilia for the 2025 MotoGP season, VR46 signed fellow Italian Franco Morbidelli to join compatriot Fabio Di Giannantonio in their rider line-up. The Rome native joining Valentino Rossi’s team even sees the first member of the VR46 Academy join.
Morbidelli will swap Pramac for VR46 in 2025 after just one season with the satellite Ducati team. But the move also keeps him on a Ducati at the same time that VR46 replace Pramac as their main satellite team. Pramac have linked up with Morbidelli’s former team, Yamaha.
Gresini Racing: Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer
Ducati signing Marc Marquez for the 2025 MotoGP season left a vacancy at Gresini for them to promote Moto2 frontrunner Fermin Aldeguer. The Bologna Bullets had already signed the Spaniard to a two-year factory contract in March 2024, but had to land a 2025 MotoGP bike.
Aldeguer will join Alex Marquez at Gresini after Marc’s younger brother – who is also a one-time Moto3 and Moto2 champion – signed a new, two-year contract in July 2024 to stay put. Alex Marquez initially moved to Gresini in 2023, and saw Marc also join from Honda in 2024.
Honda Racing: Joan Mir and Luca Marini
Honda are one of just two teams who will run an unchanged rider line-up in 2025 after they awarded 2020 MotoGP champion Joan Mir a two-year contract extension in July 2024. Luca Marini was already due to stay for 2025 as he joined on a two-year deal in November 2023.
Honda LCR Team: Johann Zarco and Somkiat Chantra
Takaaki Nakagami leaving LCR to become only a test rider for Honda after the 2024 MotoGP season created a place beside Johann Zarco in their 2025 line-up. LCR chose to sign Moto2 race winner Somkiat Chantra to complete their line-up in August 2024 with a deal for 2025.
LCR signing Chantra also saw him make history as Thailand’s first MotoGP rider, despite him never contending for a title in Moto2. The Chonburi native was just 10th in the 2024 Moto2 standings when signed by LCR, and had won two races in the intermediate class since 2019.
KTM Factory Racing: Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta
KTM utilised their home round at the 2024 Grand Prix of Austria to gift Brad Binder an early contract extension in August 2024 to keep him there through to the end of 2026. The South African was already due to stay for 2025, which is Binder’s sixth year in MotoGP all for KTM.

Binder will also welcome a new teammate in 2025 as KTM promoted Pedro Acosta to their factory MotoGP rider line-up in June 2024. The Spaniard moves up to replace Jack Miller at KTM on a multi-year deal after an impressive debut season in the premier class with Tech3.
KTM Tech3: Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales
Satellite KTM team Tech3 will run a new rider line-up in the 2025 MotoGP season as Acosta moves to the factory team and Augusto Fernandez leaves the grid. KTM signed Ducati exile Bastianini and Aprilia exile Vinales both to multi-year contracts to join Tech3 in June 2024.
Yamaha Factory Racing: Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins
Yamaha are one of just two MotoGP teams retaining an unchanged rider line-up in 2025 with Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins staying at the Japanese crew. Quartararo signed a new, two-year contract at Yamaha in April 2024 worth a reported €12m-a-year (£10m) to stay to 2026.
Rins also signed a new, two-year contract for Yamaha in August 2024 amid another injury-hit term. The Spaniard missed the Grand Prix of Germany and the British Grand Prix due to wrist plus ankle injuries, and the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna with illness, after joining from LCR.
Pramac Racing: Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira
Pramac will embrace an entirely new rider line-up for the 2025 MotoGP season as the Italian team also switches from Ducati to Yamaha machinery. The Tuscany team signed a multi-year partnership with Yamaha in June 2024 and be the de-facto second factory team from 2025.
The two Pramac bikes will also both have new riders for 2025, with Martin moving to Aprilia and Morbidelli joining VR46. September 2024 saw Pramac sign Miguel Oliveira to a two-year contract and Miller to a one-year deal to join from Trackhouse and KTM as their 2025 riders.
