Rodin Motorsport have confirmed their first driver for the 2025 Formula 3 campaign for the No. 23 car.
Louis Sharp has signed with the team for Formula 3 next year having been a part of their setup since 2022 when they ran under their previous name Carlin.
The 17-year-old currently stands as the second youngest driver to be competing in F3 next year behind Ugo Ugochukwu who will be driving with PREMA in 2025.
Sharp is the fourth driver to be confirmed to be racing in the championship, following Charlie Wurz who will race for Trident after moving over from the outgoing Jenzer Motorsport, Mari Boya who will race for Campos Racing after being retained for a second season with the team, and Ugochukwu.

The Kiwi driver comes into F3 off the back of a hugely impressive junior career thus far. As aforementioned, Sharp has been with Rodin, nee Carlin, since 2022 when he joined the F4 British Championship.

In his debut season, he finished fourth with two wins and 12 podiums. That same year, Sharp also competed in the Trophy Round of the Formula 4 UAE Championship at the Yas Marina Circuit, winning both races.
The 17-year-old won the F4 British Championship in his second season in 2023, claiming six wins and 14 podiums to win the title by 13 points. In 2024, Sharp added another championship to his CV as he won the GB3 title with five wins and 10 podiums, beating John Bennett by 22 points.
His success in other junior categories have led to his promotion to the Formula 1 support ladder, with people coming to Instagram to share their delight with the news.
One of those people in support of Sharp is fellow Kiwi and current Formula 2 driver Christian Mansell, who commented under the official announcement: “Congratulations buddy!!”
Christian Mansell is finishing the 2024 Formula 2 season with Trident
Mansell completed his sophomore year in F2 in 2024 with ART Grand Prix. While he did not take victory during the season, he did collect five podiums as he finished fifth in the standings.
But his season did not end at the F3 season finale at Monza, as Mansell was given the call to replace Roman Stanek at Trident for the remainder of the F2 season, starting at Baku.

In that round, the 18-year-old qualified 10th, which put him on pole position for the Sprint Race. However, Mansell fell down the order and came home eighth to score his first point in F2.
In the Feature Race, the Kiwi driver avoided the carnage at the race start to hold position and finish 10th, collecting another point. Trident team manager Giacomo Ricci was left extremely impressed by Mansell’s debut as the 19-year-old has two rounds left of the season to prove that he is worthy of a full-time seat.
