Formula E is a very competitive championship that has seen multiple high-level drivers since its inaugural season in 2014.
Sebastien Buemi and Pascal Wehrlein had brief spells in Formula 1 before moving to the all-electric series later in their careers.
It is very important to compete in an environment where the drivers are happy and can maximise their performances over a race weekend.
Formula E is a unique series that races almost exclusively on street circuits rather than other championships that visit permanent venues.
The axed Formula E driver saw his stint in the championship come to an end last season. He told the Corazon de F1 YouTube channel that he is already focusing on racing in a new series.
Sacha Fenestraz is looking to race in Super Formula next season
Fenestraz spent two full seasons in Formula E with Nissan, which didn’t quite fulfil its potential. The Argentine failed to score a podium and lacked consistency.
He has spent a lot of time in Japan during his career, which began when he won the Japanese Formula 3 title in 2019.
Alongside his single-seater commitments, Fenestraz raced in the Super GT series, one of the quickest cars with a roof.
Super Formula has been a very good series for the 25-year-old, and he narrowly missed out on the title in 2022. Fenestraz has been talking about Super Formula for a long time, as Formula E didn’t work.

Fenestraz explained he is aiming to race in Super Formula and Super GT in a dual campaign next season.
He said: “Even though there is nothing 100% confirmed, the chances are high that I will be in Japan next year, and the truth is that it is something I will be very happy about if it happens.
“I am extremely happy to return to Japan because it is a country I love. They treated me very well. The championships I raced in were incredible. Super GT is the fastest car with a roof, and Super Formula is one step above Formula 2. We are very close to Formula 1 in terms of car handling, so going back would be beautiful.
“It would almost certainly be both. Super Formula has around 90-95% probability, and Super GT will almost certainly be there.”
Super Formula would be a good move for Sacha Fenestraz
Super Formula is a very competitive series, and the car is quicker than any of Formula 1’s junior categories, including F2.
They are very close to F1 in terms of performance and compete on circuits such as Suzuka and Fuji Speedway.
Fenestraz was very impressive in 2022, winning at Sugo and taking three other podiums over the season, which ignited his title challenge.
