Logan Sargeant is searching for his next adventure in motorsport after his Formula 1 career came crashing down midway through the 2024 season.
The American desperately struggled to perform in the pinnacle of motorsport in his year and a half with Williams, as he was consistently beaten by his teammate Alex Albon.
Sargeant managed just one point from 36 Grand Prix, as a lack of raw pace and multiple accidents were his downfall. A crash at the Dutch Grand Prix this year – which caused significant damage to Williams’ new upgrades – was the final straw.
The 24-year-old was was later replaced by Franco Colapinto, who has largely impressed in his short time in the sport. Sargeant’s sacking likely spells the end of his F1 career after failing to display solid results.
Following his dismissal, Sargeant is looking for a race seat for 2025, with his intentions seemingly set on a move to IndyCar.

Sargeant got his first outing in an IndyCar on Tuesday at Thermal Club with Meyer Shank Racing, along with several other rookies as teams prepare for the 2025 campaign.
Juan Pablo Montoya thinks Sargeant could have an IndyCar seat next season after he was spotted in an MSR race suit full of sponsors.
But Marshall Pruett says Meyer Shank Racing are looking for headlines in the off-season to create some speculation ahead of the 2025 season. This would make sense given that their line-up for next season is already confirmed.
Speaking with Pruett on The RACER Channel, Sargeant admitted that he was still a ‘work in progress’ after his outing at Thermal, but he felt more comfortable as the session went on.
“It’s not so much about pushing, it’s about pushing in the right way and learning how to utilise what they’re giving me, how to get the most out of the tyre.
“That’s always a work in progress, right? But I feel like some of the changes we made helped, some didn’t make too much of a difference. But by the end of the morning [I] definitely started to feel a bit more comfortable, like it was heading in the right direction.”
Can Logan Sargeant find a seat in IndyCar for 2025?
MSR have got their drivers locked in for 2025 with Felix Rosenqvist retaining his seat for next season, while Marcus Armstrong moves over from Chip Ganassi Racing.
There are still some opportunities for Sargeant to land a seat next season, as Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing are searching for their third driver alongside Graham Rahal and Louis Foster.

Juncos Hollinger and Dale Coyne are yet to confirm their drivers for 2025, but both teams seem set on bringing in pay drivers to secure more financial support.
The likes of Rinus VeeKay and Romain Grosjean are also likely to be ahead of Sargeant in the pecking order. It may be that 2026 is the best option for the American to join IndyCar, with there being a lot of work to do for him to get his chance.
